Mercs 2

I traded in GTA4 for Mercs 2 last weekend. Didn't get much credit for the trade-in, but it was a good trade. Honestly I didn't even complete GTA4, I got so bored with it. The graphics and world depth were outstanding but I always liked the original Mercs gameplay better than GTA. The sequel has not let me down. There are a few issues, namely random glitches and overly long and frequent load screens, but the graphics and physics improved a ton. Instead of North Korea, it's set in Venezuela, and though you're not going around collecting names on playing cards anymore, you're still running missions and capturing high value targets for the various factions. Good stuff.

More Port Aransas Pics

The annual wiffleball game, played in the empty lot next door. Me, c2, caleb, and the millses versus will, arod, and the cecils. The douches won.

At the beach on Sunday for some swimming and slow-play bocce ball. Me, cecil, caleb, and arod went back around midnight to catch some early Gustav.

At the Pelican Landing. I don't recommend it, but I still had a good time. It was the culmination of a series of botches perpetrated in the name of longhorn fever. Pure animal hunger eventually took over and we banked into a mosquito-infested fried seafood bath. Took a long time to get drinks. Food was pretty bleh.
