More Port Aransas Pics

The annual wiffleball game, played in the empty lot next door. Me, c2, caleb, and the millses versus will, arod, and the cecils. The douches won.

At the beach on Sunday for some swimming and slow-play bocce ball. Me, cecil, caleb, and arod went back around midnight to catch some early Gustav.

At the Pelican Landing. I don't recommend it, but I still had a good time. It was the culmination of a series of botches perpetrated in the name of longhorn fever. Pure animal hunger eventually took over and we banked into a mosquito-infested fried seafood bath. Took a long time to get drinks. Food was pretty bleh.

Feels Searight

Last Sunday c2, cecil, caleb, vonage, and I went down to Mary Searight park and played a round of 18 on the awesome disc golf course there. This being only the second different course I've ever played, I was blown away. Much more difficult than our usual 9 (rarely doubled) at wells branch. Long stretches of limestone scrub fairway hedged in by cedars, both living and dead. Watch your eyes amongst the dead cedars! Mysteriously cursed with self-awareness and bitter over their own lack of vision, they seek to poke the eyes out of any fool who dares penetrate their skeletal copses.

Here's caleb and cecil teeing off on the 16th hole.

We didn't lose any discs but I got something like +20 overall, not that great. I think caleb and cecil were around +6 or something. It was pretty hot but still felt good to be outside getting your ass kicked by the texas sun. I need the practice for ACL anyway.
